Thank you for the excellent service and hospitality throughout our stay! We will want to make this a return trip! Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful in making reservations, setting up activities, and arranging travel.
My boyfriend and I spent a magical three nights here. It’s incredibly peaceful. We booked an ocean front room on the second floor, and the view was breathtaking. We spent so much time on our balcony reading + relaxing, and it was a pure dream coming from NYC.
The staff was super friendly + helpful with a flats fishing cozumel suggestion – the service was impeccable – from the moment of check in to check out. The guys at the beach club, Alberto, Edwin, and Sebastian were genuine, friendly, always ready to assist + serve you.
Two things I was concerned about before travel:
Seaweed – While the plant is a concern in Tulum – they do have staff working daily to remove it, and we were able to swim in the water along the beach for two out of the three days (the weather + tides affect the severity of the seaweed daily).
Bug Bites – The ocean breeze at the Alaya made for very few mosquitos + bugs – so that was a relief from the restaurants on the jungle side that left us with lots of bites. But we had no issues at Alaya.
My family and I stayed here for seven nights in May. Can not say enough about how lovely our stay was. The food is delicious, and the room was so comfortable. My daughter tells me every day that she wants to return to see Edwin, one of the amazing waiters on staff. When we first arrived, he went out of his way to bring her sand toys, etc.
Yes, the seaweed is not excellent, but the hotel let us visit their sister hotel to take our daughter to swim every day. This was great, and we appreciated it. Can’t say enough about the staff, from the cleaning crew to security, they were all so lovely and accommodating. Would love to return to this hotel as soon as possible — such a magical and relaxing place.
