I had a lovely stay at Hostel Tulum. Great place to be, cozy, chill, clean, sometimes crazy, and very lovely staff! Especially Elena! She made my day when we went for a tour! Thank you so much! Will come back again!
I had the best time at Hostel Che and extended my stay twice, which seemed to be a recurring theme among people I met here who also told me about the best snorkeling in riviera maya tours, Tulum and Hostel Che will suck you in. It’s a party hostel, so if that isn’t what you’re looking for, I will stay elsewhere.
Great place for the solo traveler and has a super social vibe. Lots of activities, tours during the day and night, and not just on weekends like an excellent lot of hostels. The rooms have good sized lockers that easily fit backpacks.
The only negatives were that the Wifi doesn’t reach most of the rooms (although it forces you to get out of bed which is good), and the water pressure is awful (but in my experience that was the same in every place I went to in Mexico).
Staff were all excellent, amiable, and fun, and helped me out when I requested a dorm swap. They have breakfast, but I never made it up early enough to see it so I can’t comment. They have great all-you-can-eat dinner options most nights which you have to pay for, but they’re very reasonably priced. It’s a little more expensive than other hostels in the area but totally 100% worth it, definitely stay here if you’re coming to Tulum!
Definitely for partying, bring earplugs if you’re going to bed early. Bathrooms were okay; we saw someone scrubbing the shower, so that was good. Breakfast was minimal but did the job. Staff was friendly!
Cool hostel, fun, party, buena onda, friendly staff. They offer trips and tours every day, and at night there is dinner and activities like beer pong, live music, karaoke. Good breakfast with toast, fresh fruits, and cereals. We loved it!
